"One of the difficulties I face as a teacher is educating students who clearly do not feel safe. Although I try to create a safe environment for my students, Julie and Daniel taught me to identify where my students are in their brain development and how that influences their behaviors. They also taught me techniques for helping my students to continue developing. While I have heard variations of what they taught, they were more consistent in their philosophy and practice. Additionally, this workshop is unique because I was truly able to practice what I was taught. The horses are so similar to my students in that each horse reacted differently to each participant.
